Iron County Board Supervior District #1
Iron County Saxon Harbor
Committee Vice Chairman

Hello.

I recently bought a home/property in Saxon and plan to be returning from PA and moving my Lake MI sportfishing boat north in the spring to make Saxon my home port. I want to join the club and connect with someone regarding the fish cleaning station project. Point me in the right direction!

THANKS!! Mike L

Special Committees

There was a General Membership meeting on June 28th to discuss various needs and wants the Club has and to ask for volunteers to form committees to research and implement the projects. If you'd like to work on any of the following projects, please contact someone in the list and tell them you're interested.

See progress reports on the projects.

Fish Cleaning Station - There are government monies available for this project; we will need to research costs, structure, environmental issues and write a grant to get this funded.
Poody Standal Rick LaFortune
John Wyssling Peter Kester
John Nelson Jon Picotte

Cleats for 40' Docks - There's a need for more cleats than what currently exist.
Bill Hines Bob Kallas
Mitch Koski Joe Maslanka

Cleats Project is Complete
Grills, Benches, Picnic Tables - Permanent placement of gas grills around the harbor; benches donated by members dedicated in memory of loved ones; additional picnic tables. Sidewalks are ADA compliant; nothing can be permanently placed that will impede walking traffic.

Grills are in place
Dock Boxes - Iron County will allow boxes as long as they look alike, although they can be different sizes. Also need to avoid the sidewalk, so will likely be placed on metal supports over the rocks in front of the boats.
